Responsibilities
- Development of marketing and multi-channel strategies and achievement of budgeted production
- Implementation of sales strategies to achieve budget/plan production and underwriting results (profits)
- To manage and ensure the productivity of various distribution channels, including the recruitment, training, development and motivation
- Provide training and develop agents in areas of business development, retention, and cross-selling and up selling
- Manage compliance issues, such as cash before cover, cover note control and overall agent’s discipline
- Conduct joint field work with agents
- Identification of new target market segments
- Product management
- Relationship building with strategic business partners
- To ensure that the Division / Department observes, reports and complies with the requirements of:
BNM’s UPW / GPI : Standard Guidelines On Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML / CFT) and; UPW / GPI (2) : (AML / CFT) Sectoral Guidelines 2 for Insurance and Takaful Industries by establishing and documenting relevant AML / CFT requirements in Departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all key operations of the Division / Department, communicating AML/CFT obligations to departmental staff and agents and regular monitoring of the department processes to ensure overall compliance
