Responsibilities

• This role is to manage and lead the reporting function of the Company. The incumbent will be responsible for wide spectrum of financial activities including financial and management reporting, taxation, budgetary controls and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This person will also provide financial support in the areas of strategic planning and corporate finance.
• Ensure timely and quality financial and management reporting to head office, regional office, Bursa Malaysia and BNM
• Ensure strict compliance to regulatory reporting requirements (including Bursa and BNM reporting requirements), accounting standards and group reporting requirements
• Provide management with meaningful write up/information outlining key performance indicators for performance measurement and decision making
• Ensure all accounting systems, practices, controls and procedures are fully compliant with applicable accounting and reporting regulations
• Participate actively in financial evaluation of projects and ad hoc projects
• Review and establish financial policies and procedures to support business requirements and provide guidance to business departments.
• Keep abreast with the development of the Company’s business, changes in regulatory development and reporting requirement to effectively carry out job responsibilities
• Lead and manage reporting staffs towards meeting the objectives and manage staff development for team performance
• The job requires liaison with bankers, auditors, regulatory bodies, company secretary and tax agents on behalf of the Company
