Responsibilitites
- To set up the of Shariah review framework for the Bank in accordance to the BNM’s Shariah Governance Framework.
- To set up Self Inspection (SI) items of the unit for Shariah related matters to ensure risks related to Islamic Product are assessed, monitored and controlled.
- To revise operational manual and the follow up on the reflection of any changes in local law and regulations or changes in the Parent Bank circular related to Islamic product.
- To monitor the risks to prevent same occurrence.
- To communicate the outcome of the review and highlighting any non-compliance to the Shariah Committee and the management.
- To rectify any instances of non-compliance with the Shariah to prevent such events from recurring.
- To justify the amount of income to purified in the event Shariah non-compliance occurs
- To manage operational incidents, conduct sufficient causal analysis, verify the preventive measures to ensure implementation and functioning properly.
