Job Description |
1. To prepare and plan Individual Credit Review Plan and Annual Credit plan based on a sound understanding of the credit risk concentration of the bank.
2. To lead, supervise and conduct independent credit reviews on the bank's credit risk management and credit assets controls and framework to ensure it is robust and to identify any inadequacies and recommendations for improvement, where required.
3. To prepare and escalate credit review and assessment reports, which includes both identified issues/lapses and recommendations, arising from the independent reviews conducted to the senior management, Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) and the Board Audit Committee (BAC) for their notation and deliberation.
4. To follow-up, track implementation and validate outcome of remedial actions undertaken by the auditee/reviewee pursuant to recommendations proposed by the local Credit Review Department (Local CRVD), Regional CRVD, Internal Audit Department (IAD), external auditors and regulatory authorities.
5. To act as a liaison of the Regional CRVD and to build and foster good relationship with external stakeholders (e.g. regulators, authorities, etc.) and internal stakeholders (e.g. the bank staff and senior management).
6. To continuously keep updated and relevant with latest developments in credit risk management as per guidelines and policy documents issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) from time to time, the Group policies, market best practices etc. to ensure delivery of quality independent credit review program.
7. To guide, educate and upskill junior staff within the Local CRVD to ensure high quality outcomes from independent credit reviews performed. |
